Depressão e relacionamento conjugal durante a gravidez e o pós-parto

| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo investigou a sintomatologia depressiva e a satisfação conjugal na gravidez e no pós-parto em 34 casais. Aquelas variáveis foram avaliadas durante o 2P e 3P trimestres de gravidez e 6.” semana de pós-parto. As mulheres foram também avaliadas quanto A sintomatologia depressiva e qualidade do relacionamento conjugal na 3: e 9.” semanas do pós- -poarto. Ambos os cônjuges relataram os life events aquando da avaliação da 6? semana de puerpério. Na 9: semana do pós-parto, as mulheres deram conta da satisfação relativamente ao apoio provido pelo cônjuge. A sintomatologia depressiva dcresceu ao longo das avaliaçóes da gravidez e do puerpério em ambos os cônjuges. Os homens relataram sintomatologia depressiva inferior relativamente as mulheres. A depressão dos homens na 6: semana predizia a sintomatologia depressiva das mulheres na 9: semana do pós-parto. Encontraram-se correlações significativas entre a sintomatologia depressiviva dos cônjuges no 3P trimestre de gravidez e 6: semana do pós-parto. A associação entre a satisfação conjugal de ambos foi encontrada em todas as avaliações. Verificou-se que a satisfação conjugal dos homens na 6: semana era o melhor preditor da satisfação das mulheres em relação ao apoio por eles dado na 9: semana do pós-parto. A sintomatologia depressiva e a satisfação conjugal das mulheres estiveram fortemente correlacionadas. No puerpério, o stress dos life events só se fazia sentir na presença de um relacionamento marital disfuncional nas mulheres, ewnquanto que para os homens, tanto os life events como a insatisfação conjugal tinham pesos semelhantes na sintomatologia depressiva. As consequências dos resultados deste estudo são discutidas quanto a uma abordagem familiar preventiva e terapêutica. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: This study examined the depressive symptomatology and the marital satisfaction during pregnancy and after delivery in 34 couples. Measures of these constructs were obtained during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy and 6 weeks postpartum. Women were also evaluated regarding the depressive symptomatology and marital satisfaction at 3 and 9 weeks postpartum. Both subjects described life events at 6 weeks postpartum. At 9 weeks postpartum, women reported their satisfaction with leve1 of support from their husbands. Men reported lower levels of depressive symptom than women, Husbands’ depression at 6 weeks predicted women’s depressive symptomatology at 9 weeks postpartum. Significative correlations were found between depressive symptoms of both partners at 3rd trimester of pregnancy and 6 weeks postpartum. Association between marital satisfaction of both was found at each common assessments. It was also found that husbands’ 6 weeks marital satisfaction was the best predictor of wives’ satisfaction with the social support provied by them at 9 weeks postpartum. Women’s depressive symptomatology and marital satisfaction were strongly correlated. Wives’ life events stress were only noticed in presence of a disfunctional marital adjustment, while both life events and marital unsatisfaction had similar effects on depressive symptomatology in men. The implications of the results of this study for preventive and therapeutical perspective are discussed. | por |
