Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: Through the universe that constitutes the ethno-psychoanalytic clinic, we try to understand the vicissitudes of the migratory process, focusing on the economic migrations, specifically, the experience of the subjects that move from a colonized country to the country of the colonizer, whose representation of (Me and the Other) emerges marked by a racial hierarchy internalized in the colonial period and that endures. In this way, we seek to understand the (re) construction of the (migrant) identity of our object of study, as a psychosocial construction, being in a constant transformation, taking into account not only the psychic but also the social, historical and political environment in which the subject is constructed. To access the inner world of the participants, we used the Free Association Narrative Interview (FANI) Method developed by Hollway and Jefferson (2000). Two interviews were conducted with two women from São Tomé, Helena (44 years) and Diana (64 years), and later analyzed according to the proposed method. Of the great themes that emerge, one stands out the identity, the vestiges of an ingrained colonization and the solutions found by each one for the presented questions. In general, an internal dynamics has been found in both, which reflects the logic of the dominator-dominated and that surpasses the principle of external reality (current), leading us to the field of subjectivity, which reveals the remnants of a colonization ingrained. A logic which, in the inability to find a (new) place, relies on the place known and thus preserves the maintenance of an identity (of subalternity) that has lasted for centuries.
