O presente estudo teve como principal objectivo avaliar o papel mediador do
engagement na relação entre a cooperação e o bem-estar no trabalho. Para tal utilizou-se
uma amostra de 116 trabalhadores de sectores de actividade diversos. Os resultados não
corroboram a hipótese de mediação, sendo que não foram encontradas relações
significativas entre a cooperação e as restantes variáveis em estudo. Por outro lado, o
bem-estar aparece directamente relacionado com o engagement. Os resultados sugerem
que a cooperação não poderá ser lida como recurso do trabalho preditor de elevados
níveis de engagement. São apontadas implicações metodológicas e práticas do trabalho
e apresentadas sugestões para futuras replicações do estudo.
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to evaluate the mediator role of the engagement in the relationship between cooperation and well-being at work.
