Abstract(s)
Este trabalho teve como objectivo a criação e validação de um instrumento para
avaliar metacognição em contexto de trabalho baseado num instrumento de
metacognição em contexto educativo, que é a adaptação para a populão portuguesa
(Bártolo, 2013) do Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (Schraw, & Dennison, 1994).
As propriedades psicométricas do instrumento foram analisadas, numa primeira fase,
numa amostra de teste de 60 finalistas do mestrado integrado em psicologia do ISPA e
numa segunda fase em 80 trabalhadores provinientes de três empresas distintas. A
estrutura de oito dimensões (conhecimento declarativo, conhecimento condicional,
conhecimento procedimental, planeamento, gestão de estratégias de informação,
monitorização, estratégias depuradas e avaliação) inicialmente proposta por Schraw e
Dennison (1994) foi testada através de uma análise factorial exploratória. Os resultados
sugerem a existência de apenas três destas dimensões para o contexto de trabalho:
conhecimento condicional e declarativo, planeamento e avaliação. Para estas três
dimensões foram encontrados bons indicadores de consistência interna (alfas de
cronbach iguais a .72, .73 e .77, respectivamente). Por último, são discutidas as
implicações metodológicas e práticas do trabalho e apresentadas sugestões para futuros
estudos de aplicação deste instrumento em contexto organizacional.
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to the creation and validation of an instrument to assess work metacognition based on metacognition instrument for the educational context, which is the adaptation for the portuguese population (Bartolo, 2013) of the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (Schraw, & Dennison , 1994). The psychometric properties of the instrument were analyzed initially, in a test sample of 60 finalists of the integrated master's degree in psychology from ISPA and the second stage in 80 provinientes workers from three different companies. The eight dimensions structure (declarative knowledge, conditional knowledge, procedural knowledge, planning, information management strategies, monitoring, and evaluation strategies purified) originally proposed by Schraw and Dennison (1994) was tested through an exploratory factor analysis. The results suggest the existence of only three of these dimensions for the work context: Conditional and declarative knowledge, planning and evaluation. For these three dimensions were found good indicators of internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha equal to .72, .73 and .77, respectively). Finally, we discuss the methodological implications and labor practices and made suggestions for future applications of this instrument studies in organizations.
