Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: The aim of this study consisted in the assess and understanding of psychodynamic conflicts change during an analysis. For this purpose we analyzed session notes of a Psychoanalysis that lasted 3 years and 8 months through the Psychodynamic Conflict Rating Scales (PCRS, Perry, 1990). Pathological features, adaptive criteria and conflicts pattern of a patient were rated at the beginning, 12, 24, 36 and 44 months. We found two definitive and two central conflicts for the explanation of the patient’s pathology. It was concluded that exponential changes in conflicts occurred from the 24 months onward. We found a greater adaptation than pathology at the end of analysis.
