Abstract(s)
Este trabalho propõe-se a explorar, através de uma metodologia quantitativa, as
mudanças ocorridas na violência doméstica contra as mulheres, pelos profissionais que lidam
direta ou indiretamente com a problemática.
Foi recolhida uma amostra de 585 participantes de diversas áreas que lidam direta ou
indiretamente com a violência doméstica contra a mulher, através de um questionário online
destinado a medir o conhecimentos e práticas dos profissionais dos meios de serviço para
detetar e gerir os casos de violência doméstica contra as mulheres, composto por cinco
secções, dados sociodemográficos, formação, conhecimentos, opiniões e questões práticas.
Através da análise dos dados recolhidos os principais resultados revelaram que existe
diferenças entre os grupos das áreas de formação com o conhecimento especifico em
violência doméstica, que o número de horas de formação dos profissionais se correlaciona
com o conhecimento dos mesmos em violência doméstica contra as mulheres, o que por sua
vez se vai correlacionar com o seu sentimento de preparação. Ainda o sentimento de
preparação vai influenciar a qualidade das opiniões e o género apresenta diferença entre os
grupos no que toca à opinião.
O presente estudo representa um passo importante no sentido de melhor compreender
os conhecimentos e opiniões dos profissionais que lidam com a violência doméstica contra as
mulheres
ABSTRACT: Trough out a quantitative methodology, this work explores the changes occurred on domestic violence against women, by professionals who deal directly or indirectly whit this problem. It was collected a sample of 585 participants, from a different areas who deal with the domestic violence against women, through a questionnaire online intending to measure the professional’s knowledge and practice in order to detect and run the domestic violence against women cases, structured in five sections, social demographic data, formation, knowledge, opinions and practical questions. From the analysis of the collected data de main results revealed that there are differences among the formation area groups with specific knowledge on domestic violence, that the number of professional’s formation hours is correlated with they’re preparation feeling. Still the preparation feeling will influence the opinions quality and the gender reveals differences among groups concerning the opinions. The represent study represents an important step to a better understanding of the professional’s who deal with domestic violence against women, knowledge and opinions.
