Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: The literature unanimously refers the importance of attachment relationships throughout the life cycle of the subjects, considering the relations maintained with the parental figures as being the basis for the establishment of interactions with other significant individuals. However, the nature of attachment relationships depends on development stage where the person is and all people surround him. Thereby, the present research aims to analyze the relationship between Parental Attachment, Romantic Attachment and Components of Love in young adults. Participated in the study 280 young adults, 144 feminine gender and 136 male gender, aged between 18 and 25 years old (M= 21.28; DP= 2.188). We used the followed instruments: Father/Mother Attachment Questionnaire (Matos & Costa, 2001), Romantic Attachment Questionnaire (Matos & Costa, 2001) and Triangular Love Scale (Cassepp-Borges & Pasquali, 2012). The results suggest a significant relationship between Parental Attachment, Romantic Attachment and Components of Love, and importants differences in terms of the gender and the duration of the love relationship
