- Capabilities questionnaire for homeless population: A collaborative study with housing first usersPublication . Bonifácio, Maria Inês Silvério; Ornelas, José H.Objective: the present study documents a collaborative process on an adaptation of the Capabilities Questionnaire for the Community Mental Health context (CQ-CMH) for participants of Housing First programs. Method: research team composed by two investigators and one master degree student. Four meetings took place with participation of Casas Primeiro´s members and the team. This project was divided in four steps; the first one and second was constituted by the research team of ISPA-IU and users of Casas Primeiro project. In the first (stage of data collection) and second (stage of the consensus process) steps each item was analyzed and discussed. The research team introduced their individual analysis of the items and compared them to obtain a consensual version. The third and fourth part occurred in collaboration with the Casas Primeiro users and staff members, using a collaborative approach. The third step (stage of the adaptation process) was the adaptation of the questionnaire. The fourth step (content validation stage) had the objective of assessing the content validity of the adapted questionnaire produced at the first meeting. Validity was conferred with the participation of 4 staff members and 6 users. Results: Of the collaborative process resulted a new questionnaire with ecological validity. The result of the adaptation consisted in items organized in 10 capabilities.
