Abstract(s)
After placing the term "spontaneity" into a conceptual framework, J. L. Moreno’s definition of this term is explored. Following this, I introduce the Spontaneity Assessment Inventory (SAI) and its revised version (SAI-R) as developed by David Kipper and his colleagues, as well as the outcome of some studies that correlate the results of this Inventory with other variables related to health and different forms of psychological and physical symptoms and issues. Finally, the author presents the outcome of various studies, correlating the results of the Portuguese version of SAI-R with other variables such as well-being, self-esteem, aspects of personality, the presence of illnesses or psycho-somatic type indicators, such as psoriasis and lupus, as well as impulsivity.
