dc.description.abstractThe author discusses the social dimension of attribution judgments. These are seen as social strategies aimed at ensuring a feeling of positivity - moderate superiority - and constrained by two interdependent factors: power and dominance. The interaction of these elements with the source of threat to the identity determines the response pattern adopted by the individual; ingroup favouritism, outgroup favouritism, ingroup derogation, imparciality and self-differentiation.por
