A autora apresenta-nos a gravidez na adolescência como um exemplo de um factor desencadeante de desiquilíbrio funcionante do indivíduo e da família.
Após uma pequena-reflexão sobre as exigências de adaptação, internas e externas, a que a gravidez «obriga», quer a adolescente, quer os familiares próximos, a autora apresenta um breve esquema dos objectivos a que se propõe uma equipa com um plano de intervenção específico para esta área clínica.
