As autoras fazem a apresentação da Consulta de
Adolescentes grávidas da Maternidade Dr. Alfredo da
Costa justificando a necessidade desta pela sua
característica de gravidez de alto risco físico e
psicológico.
As autoras abordam, ainda, o funcionamento e
objectivos da Consulta após referências teóricas a
vivência psicológica e física duma gravidez neste
período da vida, dando ênfase aos aspectos de risco
que a fazem ser alvo de uma atenção particular.
ABSTRACT: The authors present the consultation of pregnant adolescents at Maternidade Dr. Alfredo da Costa, justifying its existence with the great physical and psychological risk of these pregnancies. Furthermore, the authors refer the objectives and functioning of this consultation, foilowing theoretical references relating to the psychological and physical manner in which the adolescent iives through her pregnancy, emphasising those aspects which make her a target for particular atention.
