Neste estudo explorou-se a possibilidade destas alterações interferirem na relação filho-mãe. Comparou-se catorze rapazes de doze anos com catorze rapazes de treze anos, quanto à representação da mãe e da relação com a mesma, através de uma entrevista semi-estruturada a cada um. Os resultados revelaram mudança na relação filho-mãe do grupo dos doze para o grupo dos treze anos. O primeiro grupo revelou uma representação da mãe essencialmente pelos seus aspectos relacionais e físicos, enquanto o segundo revelou uma representação da mãe essencialmente afectiva positiva, relacional e exigente. Aos treze anos revelou-se uma maior diferenciação psicológica, assim como o recurso à idealização. Destacaram-se constantes movimentos no sentido do segundo processo de individuação e persistência da ambivalência.ABSTRACT: The male puberty triggers particular changes and series of internal and external conflicts in preadolescent boy. In this study we explore the possibility of these changes interfere in son-mother relationship. We compared fourteen boys of twelve years with fourteen boys of thirteen, as the representation of the mother and the relationship with the region through a semi-structured interview with each. The first group showed a representation of the mother largely by its relational and physical, while the second showed a representation of the mother essentially positive emotional, relational and demanding. Thirteen years ago revealed a greater psychological differentiation, as well as the use of idealization.
