Em particular, a investigação tem sugerido uma relação entre a perpetração de crimes sexuais e comportamentos impulsivos e irresponsabilidade, ainda que a investigação científica raramente inclua crimes sexuais cometidos em contextos online. Assim, a presente investigação propõe-se analisar o impacto dos traços antissociais e psicopatia na perpetração de crimes sexuais online e de contacto, explorando duas hipóteses de investigação. Este estudo conta com uma amostra de 316 participantes adultos da população geral. Os resultados deste estudo indicam que traços de Impulsividade/Irresponsabilidade e indicadores de traços de psicopatia secundária estão associados a uma maior probabilidade de incorrer em crimes sexuais. Estes resultados vão ao encontro da evidência empírica, que realça estes traços como os maiores preditores da prática destes crimes, uma vez que dificulta a capacidade de inibir comportamentos e a procura de gratificação imediata, o que consequentemente compromete a capacidade do indivíduo de refletir sobre as consequências das suas ações.Antisocial traits and psychopathy are significant risk factors for the perpetration of crimes. In particular, research has suggested a relationship between the perpetration of sexual crimes and impulsive behavior and irresponsibility, even though scientific research rarely includes sexual crimes committed in an online context. Thus, the present research proposes to analyze the impact of antisocial traits and psychopathy on the perpetration of online sexual crimes and contact, exploring two research hypotheses. This study has a sample of 316 adult participants from the general population. The results of this study show that traits of Impulsivity/Irresponsibility and indicators of traits of secondary psychopathy are associated with a higher probability of incurring in sexual crimes.
