As mudanças ocorridas nos últimos anos na violência doméstica contras as mulheres : A formação, o sentimento de preparação e as opiniões dos profissionais na resposta às mulheres sobreviventes

O objetivo deste estudo focou-se em analisar a formação, os conhecimentos, a preparação e as opiniões dos profissionais dos serviços da área de proteção, segurança e justiça, na resposta às mulheres sobreviventes. Para atingir este objetivo utilizou-se o questionário PREMIS, traduzido e adaptado - “A Prontidão dos Profissionais para Detetar e Intervir em situações de Violência Doméstica contra as Mulheres”. Demonstrou-se com a análise de resultados que os profissionais na área da Segurança e Justiça e os participantes do sexo masculino se sentem melhor preparados para identificar e abordar o tema da violência doméstica com as mulheres, verificou-se também que quanto mais horas de formação melhor estes se sentem preparados. Ainda se verificou que quantos mais anos de serviço e mais idade têm os profissionais menos opiniões face ao tema estes têm. Em suma, este estudo indicou a necessidade dos profissionais adquirirem mais conhecimentos e formação específica adequada de forma sistematizada, face à violência doméstica contra as mulheres. É essencial os profissionais saberem identificar, encaminhar e ajudar as mulheres sobreviventes.ABSTRACT: The present research is a quantitative study that pretends to explore the changes in the area of domestic violence against women. The purpose of this study focused on analyzing the formation, knowledge, preparation and the opinions of the professionals from the protected service, security and justice areas in the response to survival women. To accomplish this goal it was used the PREMIS questionnaire - “The readiness of professionals to detect and intervene in domestic violence situations against women” which was translated and adapted to the questions of this study. It was demonstrated with the analysis results that the professionals in the security and justice areas and the male participants feel more prepared to identify and address the domestic violence issue with women, it was also found that more hours of training make them feel more prepared. Furthermore it has been shown that the more years of service and older the professionals are less are their opinions over this theme. Overall this study indicated the necessity of the professionals acquire more contextualized knowledge and proper and systematic training, owing to domestic violence against women.
