Desenvolvimento cognitivo e aprendizagem da matemática

Abstract

A preocupação do presente artigo é a de enquadrar filogeneticamente e ontogeneticamente o desenvolvimento da matemática, enquadrando-a no contexto da hierarquia da linguagem. Assim, começaremos por situar a matemática ou a linguagem quantitativa como o culminar da dinâmica evolutiva da linguagem. De seguida, faremos referência ao desenvolvimento da linguagem quantitativa, suportando-nos para tal numa teoria do desenvolvimento cognitivo, o qual, como é sabido se organiza do concreto para o abstracto. De seguida, será nossa intenção fazer uma breve referência às diferentes componentes ou áreas da matemática, particularmente a aritmética. Para terminar, e tendo por base o já exposto, referiremos algumas preocupações que devem estar subjacentes ao processo de instrução ou ensino da matemática.

ABSTRACT: The great concern of the present article is to fit filogenetic and ontogenetic the development of the mathematics, fitting it in the context of the hierarchy of the language. Thus, we will start for pointing out the mathematics or the quantitative language as culminating the dynamics evolution of the language. Then, we will make reference to the development of the quantitative language, supporting us for such in one theory of cognitive development, which, as it is known, it is organized from the concrete for abstract. Next, it will be our intentions make one brief reference to the different components or areas of the mathematics, particularly the Arithmetic. To finish, we will relate some concerns that must be underlying to the process of instruction or education of the mathematics.
