Abstract(s)
familiar sistémica, a saber, a hipótese sistémica. Apresenta
numa primeira parte a conceptualização original
no modelo terapêutico seguido no NUSIAF, quer na
ABSTRACT: This article is about an important issue in Family Therapy: the systemic hypothesis. In the first part, we describe the original conceptualisation made by the Milan School, as well as the place that structural and strategic approaches give to this therapeutic instrument. We also emphasised the functional value of the hypothesis in the therapeutic process. In the second part, we try to show the epistemological change occurred in Family Therapy through the integration of constructivism. In this context, the systemic hypothesis is redefined as a co-construction conjointly made by the therapist and the client family. This way, the hypothesis acquires a new value, since we consider it not only a methodology of change, but also a process of change within the therapeutic system. Finally, in the third part, we discuss how this conceptualisation is applied to the therapeutic intervention developed by the therapists of the NUSIAF (Child Care and Family Intervention Centre) of Coimbra University
